Manuel Cabral
Biography
Manuel Cabral (January 11, 1956 – February 10, 2010) was a Colombian voice actor from Los Angeles. Cabral began his acting career in the 1970s alongside Antonio Corrales, founder of the Teatro La Baranda.
He is also remembered for his roles in the telenovelas El caballero de Rauzán, Pero sigo siendo el Rey, Fuego verde, and María Bonita, as well as in the comedy show Yo y Tú, where he earned the nickname “El Armario” (“The Closet”) due to his tall stature.
The son of actress Flor Vargas, Cabral worked in voice dubbing in Los Angeles during the 1980s and also worked as a radio and TV announcer in Colombia.
Sadly, he passed away on February 10, 2010, at the age of 54, in a clinic in Bogotá, Colombia, due to multiple organ failure caused by polycystic kidney disease — the same condition that had claimed his father’s life years earlier.
