Häkkinen made his Formula One debut in 1991 with Team Lotus before moving to McLaren in 1993. His career peaked during the late 1990s when he won back-to-back Drivers' Championships in 1998 and 1999 with McLaren-Mercedes, famously battling against rivals like Michael Schumacher.
