Nutty woman Whelan becomes surrogate mother for Gershon, who does not see how crazy she is. She is also a murderous lesbian. Whelan is good as a manipulative hottie, while casting doubt on Gershon’s sanity and sobriety. Flashbacks reveal the extent of the mania.
