An up-and-coming baseball star, Brad Chase suffers a significant injury, which ends his career. He finds himself returning home to his small Pennsylvania town to be honored. Did not expect a movie about an injured baseball player returning home to turn into a zombie outbreak, but here we are—and I’m not mad about it. Nanticoke blends small-town drama with supernatural horror in a way that’s weird but works. The scares are solid, the undead are gross (in a good way), and Brad is a surprisingly decent lead for a guy who looks confused 90% of the time. The plot goes off...
