Saw without Jigsaw? The Host What do you get when you make the Saw-movies but lack the compelling nature of the narrative, tied together with Jigsaw? You get Your Host. It is lackluster, derivative, and sad. The kills are uninspired, the characters unlikable, the effects passable, the direction bland and the set/sound-design very middle-of-the-road. It is a sad bit. Cannot recommend.

The acting was ok, albeit a bit over-the-top, and I liked Jackie Earle Haley as the host, who played his role with maniacal glee. The kills were quite gnarly and the torture was pretty unrelenting.
